Pushkin Agha, Founder & CEO of Vertex Events Dubai was honoured to work with the regulators from India and UAE to present the annual India-UAE Partnership Summit & Business Leaders Awards 2021. The summit was held at the luxurious JW MARRIOTT MARQUIS on November 15th, 2021 during the Tolerance and Inclusivity Week being celebrated in the UAE. The annual India-UAE Partnership Summit & Business Leaders Award was held under the Patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan and Minister of Tolerance and Shri Ramdas Athawale, Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment, who represented India during the event along with other Indian bureaucrats.
H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan said, “The UAE’s values continue to reflect the deeply-held faith of our Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who believed in the kindness, humanity, and generosity of people. Sheikh Nahayan thanked India for being part of the UAE culture and also welcomed the 200 countries who have participated at the Dubai expo 2020 which put Dubai on the global map as a favourable destination to live and do business during the current times.”
For India and UAE, it was about recognition and appreciation of each other’s efforts towards living in peace, harmony and tolerance for each other. The awards were given to the Indians and Emiratis who contributed an extraordinary difference in the life of both countries, and bring impactful positive change in society and contribute to the nation-building. The awards were given by H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan along with Indian social justice minister Shri Ramdas Athawale.
The award winners were from the hospitality, construction, education, banking and retail sectors and for the first time, entrepreneurs from the crypto industry were selected for the awards.
Mr Sandeep Nainwal, Co-Founder Polygon, was awarded as “Best Crypto Philanthropist” for building the Crypto Relief fund. Sandeep mobilized the international crypto community and raised funds to help fight the pandemic.
Kumar Gaurav was awarded as “Best Crypto Entrepreneur in the Middle-East ” for building the crucial banking infrastructure necessary for the growth of the crypto industry.
Mr Saeed Hareb Al Darmaki- Founder and CEO of Sheesha Finance, was awarded as ‘Emirati Crypto Influencer’ for bringing crypto awareness and funding multiple successful crypto startups in the region.
Mr Paras Shahdadpuri, Chairman- Nikai Group was chosen to recognize his ‘Excellence in Innovation for Consumer Electronics. Dr Jamil Ahmed, Managing Director, Prime Hospital was given the ‘Business Leadership Award in Healthcare’. Mr Yaqoub Mousa Mohammed, Chairman, Bu Abdulla Group was awarded as the ‘Young Emirati Entrepreneur’. Several other businessmen were awarded in their areas of expertise.
A panel discussion was held after the Awards, to discuss the existing projects and upcoming collaborations between the countries, with participation from diplomats and bureaucrats of both countries.

The event was attended by more than 200 VVIPs including UAE Royals, ambassadors, bureaucrats, government officials, investors, and Indian and Emirati businessmen amongst the others to celebrate the India- UAE bilateral relations and was followed by a lavish dinner.
